Paid Seats Fulfillment Requirements


 

American offers Main Cabin Extra (MCE) and Preferred Seats for purchase.

In some cases, depending on GDS limitations, these paid seats can be reserved at the time of the booking.

·       Once ticketed payment for any pre-reserved paid seat is due immediately

·       Any subsequent paid seats reserved after ticketing will require immediate purchase to avoid cancellation due to non-receipt of payment and the customer will not have a seat assignment.

 

 

Form of Payment Requirements

·       The MCE or Preferred Seat must be purchased via the same system in which it was reserved, or AA automation will cancel the seats, even when purchased via an alternate source.

o   aa.com: Paid seats reserved via aa.com require the payment by credit card to be provided via aa.com

o   NDC bookings: Paid seats can only be purchased using a credit card (CC) as form of payment.

 

Verify that your procedures and/or automation have been updated to process payment for paid seat assignments according to the booking channel.
